Favorite Local Brands

Kona resident, Kerry Colvin, founded her home-based company in 2008. She studied Interior Design at Brooks College in California. Her love of design and sewing led her to start Kona Coffee Totes, which also allowed her to work from home and be with her young keiki.

Kerryʻs collection is made from recycled Kona coffee sacks. She offers one-of-a-kind tote bags, laptop covers, and more. She recently released a new line of cute mini-totes that are perfect for bringing along your essentials. I absolutely adore my mini and it goes well with a sun dress. I also have the laptop carrying case, and I trust my device is safe because it's well padded and made with thick upholstery material. These are definitely quality products that will last you many years to come.

These pharmacist formulated artisanal soaps are divine. I've been using Aunty Betty's products for years and I love them all. The products are crafted with local Hawaiian honey from Kailua-Kona. There's a plethora of scents to chose from. Youʻll be sure to find the perfect gift. Have you tried shampoo & conditioner bars or solid dish soap bars? Be sure to check out the sustainable zero-waste products available. It's a great option if you're making the shift away from one-use plastics. Suds up and feel good about what's on your body and what's going down the drain.

Keʻoni Hanalei holds very specialized, ancient, ancestral ʻike (knowledge) of puaʻaʻehuʻehu (fern medicine). With this esoteric knowledge, he creates wild-crafted botanicals made from native Hawaiian ferns. Products range from tinctures, hydrosols, oils, and more. This plant medicine can be used to assist our emotional well-being and balance our feminine and masculine energies. Treat yourself or give as a gift. I've personally been using these products and find subtle shifts in my ʻano or vibe. If you decide to check out Pōhala Botanicals, be ready to learn all about the deep history behind this brand.

Each swimwear piece is made by hand, and she also makes suits for your little humans too. Youʻre sure to find a flattering fit that suits you best.

Master creator, Miho Aoki, is no newbie to the fashion industry. She has been featured in Vogue and NYC runways. After having children, she relocated to Kona and now embraces "aloha ʻāina" in her work. This is an eco-friendly clothing line, dyed with plants like avocado, ʻōlena (turmeric), and wild indigo.
